Moving Day
Okay, we couldn't resist. While packing, we had to take the obligatory baby in a box picture. Folks on our postal mailing list will get a copy of this one along with our new address mid-September (walmart.com Photo Center is a really neat place).

Taylor on the mower
Alas, since we're moving to an apartment, Brian can't have his lawnmower. Actually, he's not terribly upset by that. After all, it means he doesn't have to mow a lawn. Daddy & Grandpa decided to be cute and sit Taylor up on the lawnmower. Don't worry, Grandpa was very VERY close by.

Cute picture
Daddy just decided to take a picture of Taylor in her crib.

Afternoon with the cousins
We had a fun afternoon with cousins Abby, Amy, and Ariel. Amazingly enough, they all fit in the recliner and somehow managed to NOT break it!

Holding her own bottle
This week was a fun one. Mommy was a little too slow in getting the bottle to Taylor's mouth. It was at that time that Mommy learned Taylor could grab the bottle and put in her own mouth, thank you very much. Daddy took some pictures to show folks she could do it. She still needs a little help at times but she's on her way!

The word I've been waiting to hear!
Brian was feeding her last night and starting doing a motion with his mouth...making his lips smack (hard to describe). Anyway, Taylor studied his face really hard and then started copying him. A little bit later she started vocalising while doing it and out came mamamamamamama and bababababababa. Of course, I'm most excited about the mamamamamama. :)

Tasty table
Taylor's increasing mobility is opening up a whole new world. Her latest favorite place to explore is under the end table, including teething on the leg of the table. These pictures were taken just before dinner. "Get the hint Dad, I'm hungry!"

Editor's note
Sorry for the delays in new pictures - while we prepare to move to Birmingham, we have been taking pictures, just not posting them to the blog diligently. Tonight I've posted pictures back through July 27th - click on the July 2003 link to see them all.
In case you missed it earlier, Taylor's first tooth broke through Sat night/Sun morning. It was a surprisingly easy process - no mad screaming, just extra finger-sucking and drooling. Oh, the drool!
Self-feeding, Chapter 3
This time, I just set a small bottle of water on her tray, to see what she could do with it. We are impressed.
Creamed spinach - yum!
A very sleepy creamed spinach mustache. She loves the stuff.

Self-feeding, Chapter 2
More often now, Taylor is trying to assist in her own feeding. Lunch time today, she attempted to stick the bottle in her mouth, but wound up sucking on the bottom of the bottle.
Baby's First Tooth!!
It's official! Her first tooth has broken through the gum. I cried. Before, we could feel a little bump where the tooth was coming in and about 3 minutes ago, we felt the top of the actual tooth!
My baby girlie's getting teeth...no more toothless grins. I'll miss the toothless grins but I look forward to seeing more and more of her beautiful teeth show up in her beautiful smile. :)
