Update from last week
Taylor's fine. She apparently had a stomach bug. Doc had us adjust her diet a little and slowly but surely her appetite is coming back. Thankfully, there have been no throwing up episodes like this past Wed/Thurs.
She also thoroughly enjoyed seeing her Aunt Leslie, Uncle Phil and cousin Adam this past weekend - we'll have pictures of that shortly.

Oh what fun it is...
Okay, so the last couple of days have been filled with good stuff and not so good stuff. We went for our 9 month checkup only to learn that she couldn't get her shots b/c she was fighting off a virus. The dr was concerned about her cough so they ran a blood test and found her white blood cell count increased. So! We've been having bubble gum flavored oatmeal for b'fast & supper (medicine mixed in her cereal) until recently. Yesterday evening, she started vomiting...not spit up, vomit. We survived, she's not scarred. She had a low appetite today (not surprising after last night) but was mostly happy & playing today. Then, it happened again tonight, though not quite as extensive thankfully. We got her to take her medicine and she kept it down so we're happy. I'll be calling the doc's office tomorrow, btw.
Oh! Normal kid stuff - she's pulling up on everything she can get her hands on! And, she's started to cruise. The furniture doesn't flow well in the living room so she often cruises along our leg to get to another piece of furniture. :) As a result of her pulling up on practically everything, she also has her first bruise. A small wooden end table fell and she has a very VERY small bump on her forehead. Mommy & baby were fine after getting over the initial scare.
And that's been our last couple of days. I'll give an update if we go to the doctor tomorrow.

Playground
Weekend before last the weather was so nice, we decided to pack Taylor and the camera up and head to the apartment playground. We had an absolute blast watching her. We took along some of her favorite stacking stars to encourage her to crawl through the tunnels.
The blue and red tunnels were flat, and she had no problem navigating around the bends to one of us waiting on the other end. The green tunnel was on about a bit of an angle, and with her lack of traction, she struggled with that climb.

October update
This past weekend was lots of fun. I think we posted earlier that two of her upper teeth have come in - the ones on either side of the top middle. Well, this weekend, the two top middles decided to try to come on in. We think one of them broke through (finally!) yesterday afternoon. Needless to say, this weekend was a lot of fun.
We have set up a sort of blockade of stuff to keep her in one area in the living room. We discovered this past weekend that the blockade will not last much longer. One of the items is about 6.5" tall and, as of yesterday, she can now climb over it. She pulled up on it and was standing and looked like she was going to try to move over to the box next to it (another 6" higher). Then, she did move to the box (we put something on the box to try to entice her :) ). So! We are now seeing the beginnings of cruising and have mixed emotions of fear and happiness. :)
I think that's it for now. Brian's going to be posting some pics soon of our adventures at the playground and, when we get around to taking them, we have a Halloween outfit for her too (it's so cute!)

Standing at the table
She's practicing standing - with some help getting there of course. Once she's in place however, she stays there. And of course, nothing tastes quite as good as ... whatever you happen to be near at that time.
