Trampoline fun
Taylor's cousins Abby, Amy and Ariel got a huge trampoline for Christmas, and during this past weekend's visit to Huntsville, Taylor got to try it out. After some reassurance and a warming-up period, she loved it.
Funny story - Elizabeth looked out the back door to see 4-year-old Amy jumping next to Taylor to knock her over, falling on top of her, and other assorted actions that looked like they hurt. Elizabeth went out there expecting Taylor to be screaming mad. She was giggling. After Elizabeth asked Amy to stop, Amy asks "Why does Taylor giggle when you hurt her?" If only we had the answer to that question.

Daddy gets the hint
What do you do when your father is making unreasonable demands ("Eat your breakfast!") and you're tired of listening to it? Taylor has figured out the answer to that one.
You're never too young to learn to drive
Sunday afternoon, Cracker Barrel parking lot -- Taylor decides she was tired of waiting. She's ready to head home.

Another milestone?
We've had a few interesting happenings in relation to little girly learning to take her clothes off. Yep.
You've probably read the earlier post of Taylor taking her shirt off in Walmart while she & her daddy were waiting for a prescription...
Brian took Taylor to CompUSA this weekend to give mama a little time to herself. Taylor was in the main part of the buggy and Brian was looking at something. Taylor says, "Daddy, look!" He turned and there she was with a huge grin on her face and her pants around her ankles. Wahoo! She's learned to pull her pants down! (slight sarcasm there). While it is nice and an important step, I really wish she wouldn't do this stuff in public! *sigh*
Also this weekend: Saturday morning she woke up before we were ready to. We decided to let her stay put (she was quiet, wasn't fussing, I think she drifted back to sleep at one point). We were rudely awakened to a loud, "Hey!" which was amplified by the monitor. We went in and saw that she was standing in her crib with her sleeper unzipped and off to her waist.
Sunday morning, we were awakened to her fussing and saying, "Want help" so I went to see what was going on. This time she'd managed to get her sleeper all the way down and was having difficulty getting the footy part off her feet.
This morning... she didn't quite have time to take it off before I came in and got her.
Her newest phrases are: "Want help." and "I do it!" (as in, "I want to do it.")

Crib climbing
It's been way too long since I've had a chance to post pictures, so here we go ...
Some kids learn to climb out of their cribs. Not Taylor - she hasn't tried to climb out once yet. (Sleeping in the big bed helps with that.) However, climbing IN the crib is another story. We got this far earlier this week.
Chilling out
Nothing feels better on a lazy Sunday afternoon than crashing in a recliner and vegging out to some Wiggles. OK, maybe I'd prefer football. She looks so cute and grown-up all at the same time.
Coloring with the Wiggles
Mimi bought Taylor some Wiggles coloring books, which she loves to color. The third picture here is of her waving to Mimi.
Also in that care package from Grandma was Wiggles "Big Red Car" slippers, which she not cannot go to sleep without wearing. If she had her way she'd wear them to school, outside to play, to church, and everywhere else.
Helping with laundry
Taylor likes to help me with laundry, especially sorting. She hasn't quite grasped the concept of lights and darks yet, but she does enjoy jumping into the pile of clothes, and carrying various articles of clothing to the far corners of the living room. Here, she finds one of Elizabeth's shirts while I have my back turned, and manages to put it on all by herself.
A heart for Taylor
To celebrate Valentine's day, Taylor's teachers painted a heart on her cheek. When I picked her up that night, she was very proud of that heart. Days later, sometimes she will point to her cheek and say "heart".
Second picture: no, she's not drugged. It just looks that way.
Undressing
Taylor is getting much better at removing her own clothes, to our dismay at times. For example, the other day at Wal-Mart while she's sitting in the buggy and I'm talking to the pharmacist, a lady behind me says "umm, Daddy ..." and I turn to see Taylor throwing her shirt on the floor.
Anyways, here she is pulling her shirt behind her head, which usually preceeds her chasing me around. This stripping-then-chasing-boys will end. Quickly.
