Don’t look now, lock the windows and bar the doors, it’s time for another photo dump.
Taylor, like any 3-year-old worth her salt, doesn’t always listen. It’s a source of frequent frustration. But lately, we’ve seen signs of hope.
After church on Sunday, while we were talking with friends, I sent Taylor back to the nursery to clean up the pile of blocks she left. A few minutes later I went to check on her. Much to my surprise, she wasn’t playing with the toys – she was actually cleaning them up. I helped her with the last couple blocks and heaped praise upon her.
Then, back at church this evening, Taylor actually got the Good Listener Award for being the best listener in her class. Somehow in the deal, she also got a tiara and matching earrings. Not to mention the dirty face – I don’t think that was part of the award.
What’s that little speck of light? Could it be the light at the end of the tunnel?
Enjoy the light. Once she hits teen-ager, you’re back in the tunnel. Voice of experience. 🙂
Yeah folks, that’s my mom and she certainly does speak from experience. After all, I have TWO older brothers. Yeah. Them.
